You suck, ass.
Indie rock is so in now, it's all most sickening. There is no good reason that Bloc Party should have sold out this early. I don't know anyone that has a ticket, and these are people that basically live at the Black Cat. More of what I am pissed about is that The Ponys and Pony Up! are playing that night too and I have been dying to see both of these bands. Effing fuck. That's all I want to say about that for now. I have been bitching for a few days now and I'm taking a break.
Eff it - I am going to throw a party that night in rebellion. It will be a BLOC PARTY. We will serve cold war beers and delishy vodka drinks and cheers to the Soviets.

I'm not that surprised it sold out so early. They've got a HUGE buzz going and their record came out this week. I'm more surprised at the number of people that didn't buy tickets ahead of time. Like you say, they all practically live at The Cat, but none of them bothered to get tickets.
My fear is that it's now going to be dominated by a bunch of HFS/high school kids. Especially since it's on a Saturday.
Hmm, when I saw Bloc Party last month in NYC I was able to get a ticket at the door. Yeah I rock. So do they.
Also I was able to dance and party up without reeking of smoke.
Soviet Bloc Party is a great idea. Just hope that nobody throws a NATO party and then sends spies into your party.
as a black cat resident who didn't bother pre-purchasing a ticket for bloc party (or the bravery) and now probably won't get to go to either show, i have to say that i'm happy the the bands are doing well and that the black cat is doing good business, but man, this sucks!
I had a sneaking suspicion that this one would sell out, thus buying tickets super early so I wouldn't have to deal with the drama that's ensuing... tickets were only $3 more over ticketmaster, so as much as I hate to admit it, it was actually worth the so-called convenience charge
please dont piss me off on MY blog more than I already am. okay?
y'all had nothing to worry about in having missed the show. i was not impressed. you could tell that kele vocal chords were still hurting. i was glad to have made it, though.
