Lollapalooza?

Pitchfork reports:

Lollapalooza made its first lineup announcements today at a Chicago press conference, and among the artists who will perform at the two-day festival are Pixies, Weezer, Dinosaur Jr., the Killers, Death Cab for Cutie, Liz Phair, the Arcade Fire, and Billy Idol.

As previously reported, the event-- formerly the U.S.'s premier touring festival-- is now a one-weekend affair to be held in Chicago's Grant Park on July 23-24. Among the other artists confirmed are Dashboard Confessional, the Walkmen, Cake, Widespread Panic, Kasabian, Kaiser Chiefs, M83, the Black Keys, Dandy Warhols, Brian Jonestown Massacre, the Bravery, Blonde Redhead, Digable Planets, VHS or Beta, Tegan & Sera, Louis XIV, Ambulance LTD, and the Changes.

A two-day pass to the event currently costs $85, plus shipping and service charges. Ticket prices will eventually increase to $100 and then to $115.

My life smells life poop.

I am an admin assistant. 20 years ago they would have called me a secretary. I have been in this position for 2 years now. I don't dread coming to work, but this job is boring. I have lost my edge since working at this large name-unmentioned media company. I rarely use my brain and I can schedule a meeting with my eyes closed. I recently applied for 2 jobs in the program development department, two jobs might I add, that I am very qualified for, and I was not even given the opportunity to interview. This is bullshit. How on earth am I ever going to rule the program development field in NYC, if I am an "admin assistant" for the next 20 years? They might as well rename the position office bitch because that's what I am, the girl with a college degree and no brain left, cuz I have to kill my brain cells on the weekend to break up the monotony of the week.

sorry I never replied to your last email....my bad, I should have said
"a sometimes, kinda fairly consistent basis, once in a while. Anyway
thats awesome about your raise and your boy, and Im sure vegas was real cool.
Everything here is like exactly the opposite from the US for real. THe
weather, beaches, nights, days are fantastico. I am taking 4 courses,
I am playing on the premier soccer team for the UNI. I got certified as a
scuba diver and did about 10 dives so far, I went on a 12 day trip up the
east coast and to and along the barrier reef, unbeleivable, you have to see
it. went sailing, whitewaterrafting, drove 4 wheel drive trucks on the
sand, alsong the ocean on an island, went to the biggest party in terms of
people on the east coast of aus. I had a job as a waiter at the beach and
quit because I had to. In three days I'm going down to melbourne on a class
field trip and staying with seiler whose studying there. THats all for now,
I'll talk to you again soon this time....
